Our company collects all information that is obtained through the online quote request forms or any form filled out on our website. Information will also be collected over email or phone with a trained advisor to retrieve a quote.   

If you complete a quote request or partially complete a quote request on our website, we will retain your details. This is to allow us to send you a notification advising you to contact us with regards to your quote request, should you wish to proceed. If we do not hear further from you, your details will be removed after 30 days.

The information we will collect through online platforms, phone or email will be used by ourselves and our insurers to obtain a quotation for insurance purposes. We securely store your data with a regulated insurance system.

When First General processes any payments for insurance, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit referencing agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

When acquiring a quote or purchasing insurance through First General, you will be offered the option to receive updates on news, products and offers from First General as well as retrieve your quote. This could be by email, post, messaging, or other online platforms. If you choose to opt–in to these communications, we will keep your data secure and we will not pass it on to any third parties for any purpose, including marketing. You can unsubscribe from communications at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in the footer of marketing emails and texts or, by emailing enquiriesnew@firstgeneral.co.uk or by calling 0333 305 5116.

We may contact you about any special offers or discounts on other products or services we think you might like from us or our partners. We also may contact you regarding our referral scheme where you can earn money back by referring friends and family.
